HE509T-GR X2 is a compact red / green dot sight designed and manufactured by Holosun for use as a primary aiming system for pistols, submachine guns, and pistol caliber carbines and as a secondary sight for full-sized rifles in piggy-back or offset configuration.
The device offers a rugged, enclosed construction, multilayered lenses, multiple brightness settings, three reticles, and a solar panel with an automatic shut-down system to conserve energy.

CNC machined from titanium alloy anodized with a matte coating, HE509T weighs 63g and measures 40 x 31 x 28 mm. It is also IP67-rated, making it dust, splash, and waterproof. Its durable and robust construction secures the sight from falls and kinetic impulses up to 5000g. The device also operates in a -30° to 60°C temperature range.

The 23 x 16 mm lens glass is layered in an anti-scratch multi-coating with reflection-nullifying properties. The Multi Reticle System consists of a center-placed green aiming dot and a cross-circle that can be displayed separately (dot or cross-circle) or in overlay mode (dot with cross-circle). The LED emitter offers two NV modes and ten brightness levels. With no parallax, unlimited eye relief, and 30 MOA of windage and elevation adjustment range with 1 MOA per click, HE509T guarantees quick and accurate target acquisition at close ranges in all weather and light conditions.

Power is provided by a single CR1632 battery in a sealed side tray and a built-in energy pack, which gives it a running time of 50000 hours at a medium brightness setting. It also features side-placed, rubberized controls and a "Shake Awake" system that helps conserve the battery. The additional solar panel on top and the "Solar Failsafe" system amplify brightness settings. The system turns the sight off after a specified time and needs only a slight movement to reactivate the device.

The set includes a 509T footprint plate, a cleaning cloth, and an installation set with keys.
